Gratefully and sincerely, my deepest appreciation goes out to you.
Stefan Mross, the popular German pop star, expressed his gratitude for the support he received following the death of his mother, Stefanie, who passed away at the age of 85 in her home in Upper Bavaria.
In a heartfelt message, Mross posted that knowing he was supported by people who are close to him gives him infinite strength. He specifically thanked Stefanie Hertel and the entire team of "Immer wieder sonntags" for their support.
Hertel, Mross' first wife, moderated the live broadcast of the show "Immer wieder sonntags" on Sunday. This was her 40th anniversary in television, having made her first appearance in 1985 in the show "Oberhofer Bauernmarkt" on East German television.
The live show on Sunday was the second-to-last of the current season, which is being produced in the Europa-Park in Rust. This year, 12 live shows will be produced in total.
It was Mross's wish for Hertel to host the show following the death of his mother. Hertel stepped in to host the live show on Sunday, according to the report.
The couple was together for 17 years and divorced in December 2012. The live show regularly attracts a million viewers.
Mross wanted to be "in heavy hours, surrounded by loved ones" during these days, according to Southwest Broadcasting (SWR). The pop star has not yet announced any plans for future performances.
